DVD Food Matters
James Colquhoun and Laurentine ten Bosch are nutritionists turned filmmakers. When James’ father was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Depression and Anxiety he took medications that were aimed at alieviating his symptoms, but which failed to treat the underlying cause. Hence, his health continued to decline. James and Laurentine were studying nutrition at the time. Believing that good nutrition would help, they sent him much information, but he ignored it. His reaction seemed to be typical of a lot of people. As a result, James and Laurentine decided to research and make an independent documentary to present the facts about the “trillion dollar, world-wide Sickness Industry and expose the growing body of scientific evidence proving that nutritional therapy can be more effective, more economical, less harmful and less invasive than most conventional medical treatments”.
