Salad dressing

This is our standard dressing which is very popular and can be used as a base for many delicious salads.  Just add your favourite chopped herbs, vegies and greens.

Serves 1 1/2 cups         gluten free option


1 cup flaxseed oil
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 cloves crushed garlic
1 tsp mustard
2 tbs honey


  1. Place all ingredients in a tall jug and combine with hand-held blender to emulsify.
  2. Check for taste and adjust flavours if necessary – vinegars come in different strengths so recipe may need adjusting to suit your taste.
  3. Store in the refrigerator in a glass jar. Dressing will keep for 3-4 days.

Dressing variations: try adding either of the folllowing to step one – 6 sun dried tomatoes or 1/4 cup pitted olives or handful of raw almonds.
