How to leave a charitable gift in your Will

Leaving a bequest in your Will is fairly simple. We have listed below three of the most common bequests and wording, however we do recommend you contact your Solicitor to ensure that the wording accurately reflects your intentions.

Percentage of an Estate Bequest
I GIVE AND BEQUEATH to the Gawler Cancer Foundation Inc ABN: 79 160 595 251 ________ % of my Estate to be used for its general purposes and I DIRECT that the receipt of the chief executive office or other proper officer for the time being of the said organisation shall be sufficient discharge of my Trustees.

Specific Bequest
I GIVE AND BEQUEATH the sum of $ _________ to The Gawler Cancer Foundation Inc ABN: 79 160 595 251 for its general purposes and I DIRECT that the receipt of the treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of the said organisation shall be sufficient discharge of my Trustees.

Residual Bequest
I GIVE AND BEQUEATH the residue of my Estate to The Gawler Cancer Foundation Inc ABN: 79 160 595 251 for its general purposes and I DIRECT that the receipt of the treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of the said organisation shall be sufficient discharge of my Trustees.
